This page lists the names for tropical cyclones that form in or enter the Northwest Pacific Ocean (including the South China Sea). The following rules apply:
本頁列出於西北太平洋和南中國海內之熱帶氣旋名字，命名規則如下：
- Names are used sequentially (from top to bottom; then from left to right) across years. For example, if the last named TC in year X is Damrey, the first TC in year X+1 will be named Haikui. The list is recycled when all 140 names are used.
- The Regional Specialized Meteorological Centre in NW Pacific is the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) in Tokyo. The JMA will name cyclones according to the list whenever it upgrades a system into a tropical storm.
- Names are contributed by 14 countries and regions. With the exception of the United States, all other countries/regions are in Southeast Asia or in Northwest Pacific. Each country/region contributes 10 names which are put in 5 columns (i.e. 2 names from each country/region in each column).
- The Philippines will give another list of names (not included here) for TCs that enter their area of responsibility; the Chinese TC names used in Taiwan may be different as its translation method is not the same as that used in China/Hong Kong/Macau.
- Names can be retired by the World Meteorological Organization during an annual meeting near the end of a year if they are exceptionally notable (usually destructive); some names may have their spellings changed; and countries/regions may request for a change in the names listed. These changes are recorded in the table in the next section ("Replaced Names"). Names that have been retired but not yet replaced are deleted from the list.

- 菲律賓會於熱帶氣旋進入其責任範圍時根據另一列表對該氣旋命名 (本頁未有列出該表)；台灣自行翻譯中文熱帶氣旋名稱，因而部分會跟中國/香港/澳門共同商議的譯名稍為不同。
- 當熱帶氣旋對某地造成重大災害或有其他重要原因，該氣旋名稱或會在世界氣象組織年終會議上被廢除，並以新名稱取代之。熱帶氣旋名字的拼法在有需要時也可更改。這些名稱於下一節列出 ("被替代名稱")。如該名稱已被廢除但未有新名稱取代，該格將會留空。
