Selected TC Review (English only 此頁只以英文編製)

Starting from 2008, HKWW will prepare TC reviews for selected significant tropical cyclones, i.e. those affecting Hong Kong (necessitating the issuance of TC signals) and those attaining category 5 in NHC standard (i.e. 1-min average wind speed higher than 135 knots).

Note: The intensities using 1-minute avearge in the above table come from Hong Kong Weather Watch's track data. They are adjusted to 10-minute average and will be compared with data from HKO to derive the intensity at closest approach using 10-minute average standard.
